What We Publish
We publish all genre. Fiction and Nonfiction. Poetry and Graphic Novels. Except children’s books at the moment.
Send us your completed, fully edited work. Manuscript must be previously unpublished and in English.
How We Publish
Our books are released Digital-first in both ebooks and prints available on Amazon and other online retailers. Prints are on extended distribution which means they can be bought globally from major distributors and retailers like Barnes and Noble, Waterstone, etc.
Local bookstore retails are arranged on a book-by-book basis depending on multiple factors.
What to Expect on Submission
We can take up to 2 weeks to respond to your submission to confirm we are reading and considering your submission and to request for a full manuscript if necessary. Within another 2 week you will get a final decision.
If we agree to publish, we will begin contract agreement process immediately. Once this is done, you should expect your book release within a month except there’s a more suitable time or season for your book we agree on.
Contract and Offers
We cover full publishing and marketing responsibilities ourselves, including ISBN, cover design, manuscript formating, editing, proofreading, etc. We will never ask the author to make any financial contributions towards the Publishing, marketing or distribution of their books.
We encourage our authors to play an active role in spreading the word of their books among their communities on their own and to collaborate with us on our PR campaigns like author interviews, Book reading/signing events, etc. These are non-financial commitments like sowing up for events, talking to friends and neighbours about your book, making and sharing posts on social media.
We offer an industry competitive royalty rate of 10% in prints and 20% in ebooks.
In return we require full Publishing rights; global rights, translation rights, audiobook, comics, film and TV rights. For which the author gets 45% share from resulting revenue.
How to Pitch Us
Send an email to submissions@rayanypublishing.com with Subject Line BOOK PITCH (TITLE/AUTHOR NAME). In the body of email, write a full synopsis, author bio, book genre, and word count. Attach a 3,000 word sample (preferably the first 300 words.)
